A resin set of landing gear wheels for a Su-30 model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models, carrying the suffix 3D in its name. With that suffix the manufacturer tells the set apart from the other wheel set for the same aircraft. The parts replace the plastic wheels from a kit, on which the parting line of the mold shows most. It is not an aircraft kit.
The Su-30 is a two-seat multirole machine from the Su-27 family whose take-off weight went up against its single-seat predecessor. The main landing gear legs retract forward into the fuselage and the nose leg under the cockpit. The individual versions differ in the details of the hubs and the covers, which is the main reason why makers of accessories offer more than one wheel variant for a single type.
Cut the supports off with a new scalpel blade and level the mating face on abrasive paper laid on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry. Paint the hub and the tire separately and handle the transition with a circular mask. Settle a thin layer of dust on the tread with pigment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
