Replacement landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models. For the Su-35 wheels the manufacturer describes finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape; the parts are printed from photopolymer. This item is listed with the additional marking 3D.
The Su-35 is a deeply upgraded fighter of the Su-27 family with new avionics and with engines with thrust vectoring. The strengthened airframe and the larger fuel load mean a higher takeoff weight, so the load on the landing gear and the flattening of the tires show very markedly on a standing aircraft. The mudguard on the nose leg protects the engine intakes from debris off the runway.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad where it will not be seen. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting and paint the tires a very dark gray rather than black. Dust pigment on the sidewalls and in the tread gives the wheels depth. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
