A Gunze Hobby Color acrylic modeling paint in a gloss yellow shade according to the US standard FS 13538.
Responsibility details are not available.
The code FS 13538 comes from the American Federal Standard 595, which describes a shade with five digits. The first of them gives the level of sheen: a one means a gloss surface, a two semi-gloss and a three a flat finish. So this is a gloss yellow defined by a standard, not a freely mixed tone, which means it can be combined without hesitation with other colors listed under FS codes.
A saturated yellow with gloss serves on models anywhere a surface should be conspicuous: recognition bands, warning elements, small details on vehicles and color accents in a scene. The FS standard is at home above all with American subjects, where both finishes and markings are listed by it, but you will use the yellow outside that circle as well, from agricultural and construction machinery to sports vehicles.
The paint belongs to the Gunze Hobby Color acrylic line. Mix the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom and unshaken paint will shift the final tone. It is applied in several thin coats onto a degreased, dust-free surface, best over a primer that unifies the absorbency of plastic, filler and accessories. Yellow shades cover worse than dark ones, so it pays to lighten the base in advance with white or light gray. For thinning, cleaning tools and setting up an airbrush follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
The paint alone is supplied. Thinner, primer, final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
