A shade from the Aqueous Hobby Color line of the Japanese maker Gunze, also known as GSI Creos. The manufacturer lists it as RLM 71 Dunkelgrün in a semi-flat finish. The bottle holds 10 ml and the paint is a water-thinnable acrylic.

The color

RLM 71 is the dark green of the Reich Air Ministry color system. It was one of the basic shades for the upper surfaces of German aircraft and is usually used together with another dark green in a mottled or splinter scheme. The number of the standard is international, so other paint brands work with the same designation. For the modeler that means the shade can be compared across brands and that the same number can be found at other manufacturers.

Use

• Shake the bottle carefully before work.
• For the airbrush, thin it with the Aqueous line thinner or with water.
• Make sharp masking edges with tape and soft transitions with a thin spray from a greater distance.
• Let the paint dry properly between coats, otherwise masking tape will lift the surface.
• Do not mix it with the Mr. Color lacquer line or with the Acrysion line.
