A resin set of exhaust nozzles for the AL-31F engines of a model of the Su-33 carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The set is cut for the Su-33 kit from the brand Kinetic. The manufacturer also makes a second nozzle set for the same aircraft, intended for a kit from another brand, so the target mold is the main distinguishing mark here. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts.
The Su-33 is powered by a pair of AL-31F engines, that is turbofan engines with an afterburner. The exhaust nozzle has a variable cross-section formed by an assembly of moving petals worked by external rods. On a model this is the place where the difference between simplified plastic and a faithful rendering shows most, because you can look into the nozzle and on a parked machine it tends to be open.
Release the parts from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating edge on abrasive paper laid on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the inside before you fit the nozzle to the fuselage; later you will not reach it. Build the heat discoloration up in very thin layers of transparent toning shades.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
