Khaki is a shade from the Vallejo Model Color range. It is a modeling paint, not a kit - the package holds nothing but the paint in a dropper bottle with a volume of 17 ml. Model Color is a water-thinnable acrylic, flat, with a high pigment concentration, formulated above all for a brush. The code FS30277 is part of the shade name straight from the manufacturer - it is a muted, earthy khaki, a shade on the border between sand and a green brown, with nothing garish about it. That is exactly why it works so well both on uniforms and on vehicles.
It is thinned with water or with a modeling thinner for acrylics - never with a solvent one. Model Color is not a range ready to spray straight from the bottle; thin it for an airbrush. A muted khaki comes out better over a primer and in two thin coats. The flat finish then takes washes, filters and pigments beautifully, with which you can dirty the khaki down and bring it to life afterwards.
For figure painters and modelers of military vehicles who build desert and tropical subjects or need a dependable khaki tone for uniforms and gear.
Keep out of the reach of children. Ensure sufficient ventilation and protect your airways when spraying. Close the bottle carefully after use.
