Gunze Mr. Color modeling paint in a flesh tone for figures' skin, lacquer-based and thinned with thinner from the same range.
Responsibility details are not available.
Flesh is a light, warm shade intended for figures' skin. On its own it represents a middle tone from which painting the face and hands proceeds: it is laid down over the whole area, and only on top of it does what makes a figure come alive take shape — the shadows in the eye sockets, under the nose and chin, and the highlights on the forehead, cheekbones and the backs of the hands. In scales under twenty millimeters of figure height, the result is usually more convincing if the shade is darkened slightly beforehand, since small areas look optically lighter than they really are.
Besides the faces and hands of crews and soldiers, the flesh tone works on canvas and leather accessories, on wooden tool handles as a base layer, and anywhere a light, warm color with no pink tint is needed. In dioramas it also suits small items made of natural materials.
Mr. Color is a lacquer-based paint. It is thinned with the thinner intended for this range, not water, and the same thinner is used to clean tools. Fast drying and a hard film are an advantage with figures: you can work over the cured layer with oil paints or enamel glazes, which can be wiped off if the result does not work out, without damaging the base coat. Apply it in thin coats — a thick coat will bury the fine details of a face. Work in a well-ventilated area and protect your airways.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, brushes, varnish and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
