Natural Sienna

Vallejo Pigment Natural Sienna

This is a dry weathering pigment, that is a fine colored powder rather than a liquid paint. Natural sienna is a warm brown-orange earth tone suitable for suggesting natural soil, dust and deposits. The pigment is micronized and without a binder, so it disperses easily in water, in an acrylic medium and in turpentine.

Use

• It is applied dry with a soft brush to undersides, tracks, chassis and diorama surfaces.
• It is fixed with a pigment fixer, with thinner or with matte varnish.
• It mixes with lighter and darker earth pigments for smooth transitions.
• Worked into a medium it serves as a dusting coat or as a wash into hollows.

Who it is for

For modelers of military and civilian equipment and for diorama builders who want realistic earthy dusting. It is used in the final stage of weathering.

This is a fine powder. Do not inhale it, work without a draft, ideally with a respirator, and keep it out of the reach of children.
