Paint Stand Long Front Module

The long front module of the Vallejo paint stand

Vallejo builds its storage stands as a kit of wooden modules that are set side by side according to how much room you have on the desk. This part is the longer version of the front module, which the manufacturer offers alongside a shorter one. It takes up more width of the work surface and correspondingly holds more bottles.

What the module solves on the desk

• It holds the bottles at an angle, so you can see the caps and the labels
• It extends an assembly you have already built, without buying a whole new stand
• It frees up the work surface; the paints do not stand loose and will not tip over under your hand
• It offers room for brushes and small tools within reach

What to keep in mind before buying

The modules of this system fit together, so anyone who already owns one of the parts should compare the width of the assembly with the depth of the desk beforehand. The parts join without tools and without gluing, but strength will benefit if you reinforce the joints with a drop of wood glue once assembled. The assembly then takes being slid across the desktop without working apart. Count on a fully loaded stand having a weight of its own, too.

Who it is worth it for

Modelers and figure painters with a growing collection of shades, for whom one shelf has stopped being enough, and anyone who wants order on the desk and does not want to lose time hunting for one particular bottle.

It is a storage organizer, not a tool and not a paint. Paints, brushes and tools are not part of the module.
