A purple shade in a gloss finish, carried in the Gunze Mr.Color line under the designation C067. The gloss is part of the name of the shade, so once dry the surface stays smooth and reflects light without a flat haze. Purple is at the same time one of the shades that cover less well, and the final tone depends markedly on what lies underneath.
It comes into its own on the bodies of cars and motorcycles, on painted accessories and on science fiction and fantasy subjects, where purple is often the base color of a hull or of armor. It also serves well in mixing shades: added to red or to blue it shifts the tone toward the cold, and in a small dose it deepens the shadows on areas meant to look deeper than mere darkening toward black can achieve. A smooth gloss surface is at the same time the usual preparation of an area under decals, because on a smooth base no air bubbles form beneath them.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles to the bottom and unstirred paint covers unevenly. Wash and degrease the surface of the model, otherwise the finish will not hold well. Because of the lower covering power it is worth laying down a light unifying base first and only then applying two or three light coats; let each one flash off before the next goes on. Choose the thinner, the thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools according to the manufacturer instructions for this line. Work in a well ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after use, so that the paint does not thicken.
The package contains the paint alone. Thinner, cleaner, brushes and spraying equipment are not included, unless stated otherwise.
