This is a 3D-printed resin detail part from 3DF — a pilot seat for the German Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a cockpit set with which you improve the interior of a plastic kit. The seat belts are made as separate fine parts, hence the separate belts in the name, and rudder pedals are included as well, so the cockpit looks far more faithful than a seat cast in one piece. The set is shaped for the Tamiya Me 262 kit, which you have to own.
The seat, the belts and the pedals are among the most noticeable details in a lit cockpit; fine 3D printing captures them more faithfully than the parts from the box. This version is made specifically for the Tamiya kit and will not fit the Hobby Boss kit — a separate, differently shaped version exists for Hobby Boss. When buying, therefore, keep track of which kit you are building so that no mix-up occurs. The Me 262 was the first jet fighter to see combat.
Carefully separate the parts from the print supports, clean them up and wash off the residue. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting, spray the seat and the pedals with an airbrush and paint the belts separately; bring the details out with a wash. The photo-etched belts supplied in the kit can be combined with these. Sand the resin with respiratory protection.
This is a cockpit detail part, not a kit of its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
