An equipment accessory for figures in 1:72 scale: pouches for the stick magazines of the German MP38 and MP40 submachine guns. The parts are supplied unpainted and are glued onto a finished figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
Magazine pouches for the MP38 and MP40 submachine guns belonged among the basic equipment of German infantry in the Second World War. They were carried on the belt, usually in a pair on both sides of the buckle, and each held several stick magazines. The canvas body with its flaps and straps gave the pouches their characteristic flattened shape, which shows on a figure even in a small scale.
The set brings separately rendered pouches meant to complete figures in 1:72 scale. The parts are glued onto the belt or directly onto the body of a figure, according to how the figure is modeled, and they can be combined with other elements of equipment.
Degrease the parts before bonding and let them dry. Apply the super glue in a tiny amount; on a part of this size a really small drop is enough. When painting, a darker emphasis in the gaps between the flaps and a light lightening of the edges help, or the small relief is lost.
The accessory will be valued by modelers who build figures and small scenes in 1:72 scale and want to tell the equipment apart from the standard parts from a kit. Working with parts this small calls for tweezers and a steady hand. There are no figures, paints or glue in the package, unless stated otherwise.
