An accessory for dioramas in 1:35 scale: German containers for carrying food from the Second World War. Separate parts, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German army of the Second World War carried food from field kitchens to the forward positions in sealable containers. Besides plain cans, double-walled insulated containers carried on the back by straps were used, which kept food warm even on a longer trip along a trench. In a scene it is a small thing that gives the diorama a story and recalls the everyday running of a unit.
The set brings containers for carrying food in 1:35 scale as separate parts. They earn their place at a field kitchen, on the bed of a vehicle, in a trench scene and as a load in the hands of a figure.
Degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the base color holds badly on the smooth surface. In 1:35 scale it pays to set the surface of a container apart from the fittings and the straps, so that the scene does not look uniform. Suggest wear with a light wiping back of the paint on the edges and the lid, that is where a container was rubbed most.
The set is meant for builders of dioramas and vehicle scenes in 1:35 scale who lack small support equipment. The parts are small, so tweezers and a sharp scalpel are useful. The package holds no figures, vehicles, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
