The American Browning M1919 .30-caliber machine gun in its early configuration, with the M20 mount, in 1:35 scale. Standalone parts for vehicles, figures and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Browning M1919 was an American air-cooled .30-caliber (7.62 mm) belt-fed machine gun. It was developed as a lighter counterpart to the water-cooled M1917 and served with the infantry, as well as vehicle armament, during the Second World War. The set depicts the early configuration of the weapon fitted with the mount designated M20.
The set brings the machine gun and its mount as standalone parts in 1:35 scale. It most often replaces the simplified weapon from a kit, but also works as vehicle armament or as an accessory for figures and dioramas.
The most fragile spot is the barrel with its jacket, so handle the part by the weapon's body and clean it up carefully. After degreasing, apply a dark base coat; a metallic look comes from a light pass of dry brushing on the edges of the receiver and the barrel jacket. Excessive gloss will make the weapon look toylike, while a muted graphite tone looks more authentic.
The set is intended for builders of vehicles and dioramas in 1:35 scale who are not happy with the weapon supplied in the kit. Tweezers, a sharp hobby knife and a steady hand for fitting the weapon into its mount will make the work easier. The package does not include a vehicle model, figures, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
