American field radios, the BC-659 and BC-620, from the Second World War, in 1:35 scale. Standalone parts for vehicle interiors and dioramas, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BC-659 and BC-620 were American field radios from the Second World War. They were box-shaped units with a control panel on the front, used both in vehicles and as portable sets. Communications kept staff and combat units in contact, which is exactly why radios turn up so often on models and in scenes.
The set brings the radios designated BC-659 and BC-620 in 1:35 scale as standalone parts. They work well in an open vehicle interior, on a cargo bed, at a command post, or next to a radio operator figure.
If the radio is going into an interior that will be closed up, fit it in place before gluing the hull or cab together. After degreasing and a thin base coat, it is worth picking out the front panel: dials and knobs with a fine brush, recesses with a darker glaze. Lightly highlight the edges of the case so the unit does not blend into the background.
The set is intended for builders of vehicles and dioramas in 1:35 scale who are furnishing an interior or a command post. The parts are small, so tweezers and a sharp hobby knife come in handy. The package does not include a vehicle model, figures, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
