A decorative display base from Kelik in 1:32 scale that faithfully captures the surface of the flight deck of the American aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68). It is not a model of an aircraft or of a ship: it is a striking base on which you stand your finished model and give it a matching setting and a sense of scale.
The base serves as a realistic scene under a model of a naval aviation aircraft. The print imitates the texture, the markings and the wear of the deck, so a displayed model immediately gains the context of an aircraft carrier. The Type 2 version differs in the pattern of the deck markings.
The base can be used on its own or set into a larger diorama. You simply stand the model on it; for a permanent attachment you can use double-sided tape or small pins. Protect the surface from scratches.
