A Mr.Paint modeling paint from the Aqua range in a blue shade according to the American standard FS 15056.
Responsibility details are not available.
The code FS 15056 comes from the American standard Federal Standard 595, which describes shades with five digits. The first of them gives the degree of gloss: a one means a gloss surface, a two semi-gloss and a three a matte shade. The second digit sets the color group, a five meaning blue tones, and the last three digits are sequential. The paint is therefore a saturated gloss blue defined by a standard, not a freely mixed shade, so it can be combined without hesitation with other paints listed under FS codes.
The FS standard is at home above all with American equipment, where the shades of finishes and markings are listed by it. Gloss blue of this type is used on prominent areas and on recognition features. In modeling it can be put to work wherever a clean saturated blue with gloss is needed, on aircraft, on vehicles and on scenic accessories.
The bottle has to be stirred thoroughly before use, because the pigment settles to the bottom. It is applied in several thin coats onto a degreased and dust-free surface, ideally over a primer that evens out the absorbency of plastic, filler and any accessories. Thinning, cleaning the tools and the recommended spraying pressure follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. A gloss surface is a suitable base under decals, and the final look is then evened out with a finishing varnish.
The paint alone is supplied. Thinner, primer, finishing varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
