A set of self-adhesive masking templates in fine kabuki (washi) paper, cut accurately to fit that particular kit. It is not a model but an aid for a perfect finish on the glazing. The EXPERT version is the most complete: besides the framing of the canopy and the clear parts it also contains masks for the seals and the inner sides of the glazing, so the inner and the outer cockpit colors can be separated cleanly.
The Focke Wulf Fw-190 D-9, nicknamed Dora-9, was a high-performance late version of the German fighter of the Second World War with a lengthened engine cowling for the inverted V12 Jumo engine. Thanks to better performance at higher altitudes it was among the most feared German fighters of the final phase of the war.
Set the masks in place with tweezers and press the edges down carefully, especially on the inner sides of the glazing. Spray the inner shade of the cockpit first, then the outer color of the airframe. Build the paint up in thin coats and let it dry before removing them.
The set contains masking templates only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
