The F-22 Raptor is an American single-seat fifth-generation fighter. It is powered by two turbofans and the whole shape of the airframe is subordinated to the aim of the lowest possible radar reflectivity, which is why it has sharp edges, canted vertical tails and a smooth surface with no protruding pylons. It carries its armament in internal bays in the fuselage in order to keep a clean outline, and it ranks among the highest-performing fighters in service today.
The Quick Build line is built on snap-together joints. The parts fit into one another by their own shape and hold without glue, and the plastic is pre-colored, so the model looks finished the moment it is put together. The build takes a few minutes, does without tools and without waiting for anything to dry, and the finished model can be taken apart and put together again.
The set is aimed at children and at beginners who want a finished model at once and without glue, and it also serves as a gift or as a build to share with a child. An experienced modeler will not find the fine detail of a classic kit in it, because the point of the line is speed and simplicity. Paints, glue and tools are not needed for the build and are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
