A model of the Apache attack helicopter from the Airfix Quick Build range. The parts click together without glue, and the build needs neither paints nor tools.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Apache is an American attack helicopter. Its crew of two sit one behind the other, the pilot at the back and the weapons operator at the front, and the machine is powered by two turboshaft engines. It carries its armament on stub wings at the sides of the fuselage, where there are pylons for rockets and pods, and under the front of the fuselage it has a traversing cannon linked to the sighting system. The helicopter stands on wheeled landing gear and ranks among the most widely used attack machines of its kind.
The Quick Build range is based on snap-together joints. The parts fit into one another by their own shape and hold without glue, and the plastic is colored, so the model looks finished as soon as it is put together. The build takes a few minutes and does without tools and without waiting for glue to dry.
The set is aimed at children and at beginners who want a result quickly and without glue, and it also suits a gift or a build shared with a child. An experienced modeler will not find in it the fine detail of a classic kit, because the point of the range is simplicity. Paints, glue and tools are not needed for the build and are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
