A Spitfire kit from the Quick Build line in a color finish for the Normandy landings. The parts snap together, with no glue and no painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire is the best-known British fighter of the Second World War, recognizable by its elliptical wing. The color finish refers to the Normandy landings, when Allied aircraft were given wide alternating black and white stripes on the wings and the rear fuselage. These were to make it easier for anti-aircraft defenses and for the crews themselves to recognize Allied machines over the battlefield.
It is a kit from the Quick Build line, that is a model made up of pre-colored parts that snap together. You need no glue and no paints, and the build takes considerably less time than a classic plastic kit. The package includes stickers with national insignia and other markings that are applied to the finished model.
The parts fit together firmly, so press them straight in without twisting. Transfer the stickers onto a clean, degreased surface; pressing them down with a finger through a piece of soft cloth is enough. If you do decide to paint the model after all, use acrylic paints made for plastics and apply them in thin coats.
The Quick Build line is aimed at beginners and at younger modelers who want to build a model without knives, glues and paints. It also serves as a quick build for one evening or as a gift. Paints and glue are not in the package and are not needed for the build, unless stated otherwise.
