S001 White - (Gloss) Spray

Mr.Color Spray - white gloss (Gunze / Mr.Hobby), 40 ml

A ready-made lacquer spray (aerosol) from the Japanese brand Gunze Mr.Hobby with a volume of 40 ml. It is a lacquer paint in a gloss form, ready for immediate use - it needs no airbrush and no compressor. An excellent choice for a modeler who does not have an airbrush, and for covering larger areas or laying down base coats quickly. White is at the same time the most demanding shade of all: it has weak covering power, it shows through on a dark surface and it needs more thin coats, best applied over a light undercoat.

Use

• Shake for 1 to 2 minutes before spraying - there is a mixing ball inside, otherwise the paint sprays thin and unevenly.
• Apply thin coats from a distance of roughly 20 to 30 cm; a heavy coat runs and forms orange peel. Better several thin passes than one heavy one.
• Spray in warm, dry conditions - in cold and damp an unsightly milky white bloom appears on the finish.
• It is a lacquer that attacks plastic - proceed carefully on thin parts and clear canopies and test on a hidden area first.
• A gloss surface is ideal under decals - on gloss a decal settles without unwanted silvering.

Who it is for

For builders of car bodies, aircraft, markings and gloss models, and also as a white surface under light shades. Because of the weaker coverage, count on patience - ideally a white surfacer first and only then the paint. A clear varnish makes a good companion for final protection and for decals.

Lacquer fumes - use only in a well-ventilated area and with a respirator. The aerosol is flammable, so keep it away from fire and sources of heat. A spray meters less finely than an airbrush, so it does not suit fine detail, but it does suit larger areas.
