The airfield standing ladder for the MiG-29 in 1:48 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models. An accessory for the flight line, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin airfield standing ladder for the MiG-29 in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The ladder serves the pilot for getting in and out and the ground crew for working on the cockpit. Printing in resin holds the thin rungs and the frame without building up from wire. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a finished model and for an airfield scene.
The MiG-29 has its cockpit set high above the ground and has no fixed built-in ladder, so the ground crew bring a separate wheeled ladder up to it. In photographs from the flight line it stands by the side of the fuselage next to the cockpit almost every time and alerts the viewer to the real size of the machine. Without it a model on a shelf looks oddly solitary.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade and over a working surface. Sand the burrs with fine abrasive paper, wet. Assemble the structure on a flat surface, so that the ladder does not stand crooked, and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Airfield equipment is scuffed, so after the base color suggest chipping on the edges and settle dust on the feet with pigment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
