The access ladder for the Su-27UB 1:32 is a 3D printed resin model of a wheeled access ladder for the two-seat Su-27UB in 1:32 scale for an airfield diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin model of a wheeled ladder of the kind used on the two-seat training version Su-27UB. The longer cockpit with two seats in tandem calls for a different shape of ladder than the single-seat Su-27, which is why the manufacturer lists the two versions separately. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for an airfield scene.
The Su-27UB is the two-seat training and combat version of the heavy Su-27 fighter. The instructor sits behind the student in a raised rear cockpit, to which the canopy and the spine of the fuselage are adapted. Boarding for both crew members calls for a longer or differently arranged ladder that reaches both seats. At air bases such ladders belonged to the indispensable equipment.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Equipment beside an aircraft comes out best with weathering: a dark wash into the gaps, dust with dry pigment and scuffed spots suggested with a metallic shade.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
