The landing gear legs for the Su-24 1:32 are a 3D printed set of landing gear legs for a model of the Su-24 in 1:32 scale, of a strong polymer and with steel reinforcement.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the nose and main landing gear legs of a model of the Su-24 in 1:32 scale. The legs are printed from a strong polymer and reinforced with steel pins, so they will carry the weight of a finished model. They capture the extended position with the hydraulic and electrical lines, the landing light and the mudguard rendered.
The Su-24 is a Soviet tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of two sitting side by side. Its high take-off weight and the requirement to operate from poorer surfaces were reflected in a sturdy landing gear with a pair of wheels on each main leg. On a machine standing still the leg is under load and its struts and lines are clearly visible. It is precisely this definition that an injection mold cannot render.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Glue the steel-reinforced legs into a joint that has matured and let the model stand after assembly before you set it down on its wheels.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
