The landing gear legs for the Su-24 in 1:72 are an add-on set replacing the plastic landing gear from the kit. An airplane model it is not.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models in 1:72 scale. It is the counterpart of its landing gear leg sets for other types: highly detailed nose and main legs in the ground position that will replace the plastic parts from the kit. An aircraft model is not included in the package and the set does not replace one.
The Su-24 is a Soviet two-seat tactical bomber with variable-geometry wings and a crew seated side by side. It was built to penetrate to the target at low altitude and high speed, so it has a high takeoff weight and robust landing gear suited to operations from less prepared surfaces as well. The plastic legs from a kit tend to be simplified in this scale and sometimes sag under the weight of the model.
Landing gear legs are among the most heavily loaded parts of a model, so glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, and let the joint cure thoroughly before you stand the model on its wheels. Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad. Lay down a filler primer before painting; landing gear legs used to be light gray and got dirty quickly, so a dark wash and fine traces of dust show up well on them. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
