A themed paint set from the IONIC range for Soviet armored vehicles from 1939 to 1945.
Responsibility details are not available.
This paint set from the IONIC range is put together for Soviet armored vehicles from 1939 to 1945. For most of the war Soviet vehicles carried a uniform dark green finish, which differed more in the batch of paint and the degree of wear than in the shade itself. In winter white was applied over it in haste; it wore off quickly and showed through in streaks to the green base.
Stir the contents of the container thoroughly before work. Apply the green base thinly and in several coats; a large single-color area needs modulation, otherwise the welds, hatches and grab handles vanish from the model. Put a lighter tone in the middle of large areas and on the horizontal parts, a darker one at the edges and in the shadows. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and those instructions take precedence. Apply the winter white only over a green coat that has dried, and rather unevenly, in streaks and with places left out, the way it looked in the field. Add wear on the edges and dust right at the end.
For modelers of Soviet vehicles who want the shades for the theme together, and for those who build a winter scene and need to match the green base with white. The green tones also come into their own on crates, tarpaulins and other diorama accessories, where a separately bought shade would make no sense.
The number of shades, their names and the volume of the containers are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set. The model, glue and painting tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
