A themed paint set from the IONIC range for the uniforms of the Red Army from 1939 to 1945.
Responsibility details are not available.
This paint set from the IONIC range is aimed at the uniforms of the Red Army from 1939 to 1945. The basis was a khaki tunic and trousers, to which a quilted padded jacket and a cap with flaps were added in winter. The shade of the cloth differed from piece to piece according to the production batch and to how long the garment had been in service, so a group of figures should never be painted in one single tone.
Stir the container before picking the paint up; settled pigment is normal in modeling paints. Lay the base tone on the whole part of the garment, let a darker one drop into the folds and draw the lightest one over the edges and the stretched places of the cloth. A quilted winter jacket has pronounced relief, so with it the contrast is worth picking out more than on a smooth tunic. Apply thinly and in several coats; one heavy coat floods the quilting and the buttons. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and those instructions take precedence. Clean the brushes right after work.
For modelers who build Soviet vehicles and want to paint a crew or supporting infantry to go with them, and for figure painters who do not want to put a palette together shade by shade. Khaki tones also come into their own on canvas bags, webbing and tarpaulins in a diorama.
The number of shades, their names and the volume of the containers are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set. Figures, a model and painting tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
