Mr.Paint Exhaust Soot (Matt Clear)

A matte translucent (clear) lacquer shade from Mr.Paint, intended for creating the effects of exhaust gases and soot on a model. It is a lacquer-based paint intended for the airbrush only; it is pre-thinned and ready for immediate use. Being translucent, it does not change the base color of the model but only darkens and dulls it gradually. It is used to suggest smoke and soot trails behind exhausts, behind gun muzzles or in places where exhaust gases spill out. Once dry it stays matte.

Use

• Intended for the airbrush only; it is applied in very thin coats built up gradually
• Build the soot and smoke effect up gradually, checking the intensity of the darkening coat by coat
• A working pressure of between 10 and 25 PSI is usually recommended
• Pre-thinned: no further thinning is needed for ordinary spraying, but it can be thinned with Mr.Paint thinner or Mr.Hobby lacquer thinner if required
• Suitable behind exhausts, behind gun muzzles and in other places with traces of exhaust gases
