A printed replacement ejection seat for a model of the F-35A in 1:72 scale. It replaces the simplified part from the kit with a more sharply rendered detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed Martin F-35A is a single-seat fifth-generation combat aircraft in the version for conventional takeoff and landing from a concrete runway. Its cockpit is fairly clearly visible and the seat in it makes up a prominent part of the equipment: the back rest, the head section with the ejection mechanism, the belts and the operating handles. It is exactly these shapes that tend to be simplified in a kit in a small scale, because a mold cannot hold them.
A replacement ejection seat for a model in 1:72 scale. The word PRINT in the name says that these are parts made by three-dimensional printing, that is a print with sharp edges and with no need to clean up mold seams. The exact number of parts and the kit the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The printed parts are held on thin printing supports. Cut them off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remaining stubs down carefully; in 1:72 scale the seat is small and a coarser intervention will damage it. Before painting, wash and degrease the part, so that no residue of printing resin is left on the surface and the paint takes hold. It is glued with super glue; ordinary cement for plastic models will not hold here. When painting, start with a dark base, set the belts and the handles apart with a separate shade and pick the edges out with a dry brush.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
