A resin figure of a Red Army war correspondent in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It is a figure on its own intended as an accessory for a diorama or as a display case object, not a kit of equipment. The figure complements the Bravo 6 range devoted to reporters and photographers of the Second World War.
The casting is in hard modeling resin, which holds finer detail than injection-molded plastic: the folds of the coat and the trousers, the footwear, the belt and the small equipment. In 1:35 scale the figure runs to roughly five centimeters in height, so it works well beside vehicles and buildings in the same scale and gives a scene scale as well as action.
Before building, wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry thoroughly, or the paint will not take on the remains of the release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and level the surfaces with a file or abrasive paper; sand resin wet and with a respirator. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A thin primer follows, then the building up of the paint from a dark base toward lighter edges. With uniform fabrics a combination of acrylics, a wash into the folds and a closing matte varnish works; the leather of the belt and the boots will take a light satin for contrast.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
