A dry modeling pigment from Abteilung 502 in the form of a very fine colored powder. It is neither a paint nor a kit but a weathering medium for patina. The Faded Moss Green shade is a muted faded green suggesting old, dried-out moss and a dried algae film - it suits damp and neglected surfaces, abandoned vehicles, stones, masonry and diorama groundwork. The pigment comes in a jar and is applied dry with a soft brush; it settles in recesses and joints, where it forms a natural greenish growth. At the end it is fixed.

Use

• Apply the fine powder with a brush into joints, corners and onto areas where moss and damp hold in reality.
• Fix it with a pigment fixer or with mineral spirits (white spirit); once dry the effect stays put.
• Combine it with a fresher, lighter green for graded, natural mossing.
• Layer it with earth pigments for a damp, neglected and overgrown look.
• Suitable for dioramas, abandoned vehicles, ruins, stones and masonry.
