A hand-launched glider offered under the name Fida. It is a small glider with no engine and no remote control: you release it with a throw from the hand and it flies on by momentum and gliding flight for as long as the air carries it. That is exactly why a hand-launched glider tends to be the usual first step toward flying with models and at the same time undemanding fun for anyone who wants a rest from building out of doors.
For beginners who want to find out how a model behaves in the air, and for experienced modelers as a half-hour of relaxation. For flying you need neither an airfield nor a transmitter; a grassy area with no obstacles and reasonable weather are enough. For children a hand-launched glider is suitable under adult supervision: the model is light, but a thrown object can hit someone unpleasantly in the face, so it is never aimed at people or animals.
If the model behaves restlessly after release, that is dealt with by the position of the center of gravity and the setting of the tail surfaces. The particular values and the permitted procedure for adjustments on this model are given in the instructions from the manufacturer, because they differ on every structure.
The wingspan, the material and the degree of pre-preparation are given by the manufacturer in the details with the product. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
