A modeling tool, not a kit. The set from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya contains sandpaper of a fine P600 grit intended for sanding and cleaning up models. The paper is durable, it takes dry as well as wet use and it can be cut to the size you need. It suits plastic, metal and wood, so it serves during building, conversions and small repairs.
P600 is one of the finer grits and is used in the finishing stage, where the point is smoothing rather than heavy removal of material. It leaves a smooth surface ready for primer or clear coat. For coarser work the lower grit numbers are right, for final polishing the higher ones.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit. When sanding dry we recommend protecting your airways and working in a ventilated space.
