Light green coarse foliage clusters, bag holding 832 cm³. Material for tree crowns built on an armature and for mature bushes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This type of material has the most pronounced texture of the whole range. It is not an even mass but clumps with clearly visible gaps, which on a tree crown take the part of individual tiers of branches. The gaps matter more than the leaves themselves: a crown with no sky showing through looks like a green ball, and that is the most common reason model trees come across as crude.
Glue is applied to an armature of wire, of a casting or of a natural twig, and the clusters are laid on from the top down. The lower tiers are made thinner, because foliage thins out in the shade of the crown. A finished tree is left to dry in the position in which it will stand, so that the material does not slide to one side. A bag holding 832 cm³ is enough for a group of trees with some to spare.
The coarse texture also suits mature bushes, climbing greenery on a facade and overgrown banks. Anyone who needs a finer surface can dust the clusters with turf, which catches on the glue and softens the outline. The light shade at the same time takes recoloring toward warmer tones better than the deep green variants.
The material is light and springy once dry, so a finished crown survives careful handling. Even so, we advise carrying trees by the trunk and protecting a finished scene from dust, which is harder to remove from a coarse texture than from a smooth surface. The safest protection is still a glazed case, or a cover over the whole board.
