In the front part of a diorama a viewer studies the individual plants, not growth as a whole. A bush at the edge of a road therefore needs an outline that does not look like a ball and a bottom where bare branches are visible. The coarser clusters of this line come close to that in themselves, because their texture is irregular in the package already and does not have to be broken up laboriously.
The shade corresponds to deciduous green in full season and suits everywhere the color is not meant to pull attention away. For the foreground middle tones in particular are usually chosen, because a light green glares at a short distance from the eye and a dark one sinks away. The volume of the package is 832 cm³, which for detailed work on a front area means a supply for a long time.
It pays off to work with tweezers and to glue smaller pieces one by one, not one large cluster all at once. Thin twigs are put between them, which peek out of the leaves and break the regularity. A finished bush is completed with fallen leaves at the foot and a blade of grass growing out of it; these small things decide whether a scene stands up close to.
The material does not change its properties even after longer storage, it only settles in the bag. Before use it is enough to lift it with the fingers and fluff it up, so that the original irregularity of the texture comes back. Close the bag, as dust settled in the material later tells on the color as well as on the adhesion of glue.
