A German camouflage gray listed in the RAL standard under number 7050 and under the designation F9. For a builder a number from a standard is an unambiguous brief: it can be looked up, compared against another source and used years later for a repair or for a second model. The shade belongs among the gray-green tones of German military vehicles. The item is part of the Orange Line range from Hataka.
Shake the bottle honestly before use so that the pigment settled at the bottom is mixed back through the whole volume. Thinner and thinning ratio differ between ranges, so reach for the thinner intended for this range and follow the instructions given by the manufacturer on the packaging; a foreign thinner can curdle the paint or worsen the adhesion of the coat. Test the consistency on scrap plastic or on a hidden area of the model and adjust the paint only after that test.
Wash and degrease the surface before painting; on large smooth areas a primer helps. Apply the paint in several thin coats and let them dry between each other; a single heavy coat floods the fine surface relief and rounds off the edges. Lay masking tape only on fully dried paint, otherwise the coat underneath comes away with it.
Thinner, brushes, airbrushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
