Wall-mounted lights with a curved arm, HO scale

Working lighting from the Just Plug system by the manufacturer Woodland Scenics, in the form of wall-mounted lights with a curved arm in HO scale. It is not a kit and not a dummy: the lights have a built-in LED and a lead terminated with a plug, so once installed they really light up. In reality this type is mounted on walls where a gate, a ramp or a doorway needs lighting: on warehouses, workshops, engine sheds, shop fronts and the rear parts of buildings.

How the Just Plug system works

• A light is connected with a plug, with no soldering and no working out of resistors.
• The brightness is set centrally on the hub, so an evening scene can be dimmed as needed.
• The lead is passed through a hole in the wall of the building or run down the wall and under the board.
• The system is expandable; further lights and lit elements can be added gradually.

Installation

Wall-mounted lights are installed differently from pole lamps: you need a hole in the wall of the building, not in the baseboard. Drill the hole before you set the building into the scene and run the lead down through the inside of the structure; on models of buildings without a floor that is usually the simplest route. Place the light above a gate, a door or a loading ramp, that is, where it would have a working purpose; a lit ramp can lend a scene a story even without a single figure. Deal with the connection and the power supply according to the instructions for the hub of the system; neither the hub nor the power supply is included in this package, unless stated otherwise.

Who the lights are for

For builders of layouts and dioramas in HO scale with industrial or urban buildings, and for modelers who want to light a particular place in a scene rather than the whole area. Suitable also for display scenes, where a lit doorway forms a natural center of the view.

Connect the lights only to a power supply recommended by the manufacturer of the system. Handle the leads carefully, as they are thin and mechanically delicate.
