The shade is carried under the German name Graugrün, in English Grey Green, and under the number RAL 7008. It is therefore a mid-tone on the border between gray and green, muted and without marked saturation. The standard number has a practical point: it sets the tone unambiguously, so the paint is easy to match with a color scheme that works with RAL numbers instead of trade names, and just as easy to repeat years later on another model.
Muted mid-tones have a peculiarity: depending on the light around them they read a little differently every time, once rather as gray, another time as green. Judge the finished coat in daylight, therefore, and ideally next to a part carrying the other shades of the build. It is exactly for this reason that such colors sit well with neighboring tones and do not jump out of the whole even on large continuous surfaces.
Mix the bottle thoroughly before use, because the pigment settles to the bottom. Lay on thin coats over a clean, degreased surface, ideally over a primer that evens out the absorbency of plastic, filler and accessories in other materials. Let the paint dry between coats; muted shades then do not settle into blotches and hold an even surface. The thinning ratio, the spraying pressure and cleaning the tools follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
One bottle of paint of 17 ml is supplied. Primer, thinner, a final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
