GULF Orange (17ml)

Real Colors RC839 GULF Orange, 17 ml

A modeling paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, the manufacturer's part number RC839, in a 17 ml package. The shade is carried under the name GULF Orange and belongs to the two-color racing scheme that became established under that name: a light blue surface rounded out with an orange stripe.

Where you will use the shade

Most often it will serve on models of sports and endurance cars, where it forms the contrasting stripe across the hood and the sides of the body. The matching blue tone of the same scheme is carried by the same range under the number RC844, so both paints can be had for the same build. It can also be used on its own as a bold orange.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly every time before you draw any out.
• Spray the stripes through a mask stuck onto a coat underneath that is already dry and hardened; press the edge of the mask down so that no paint runs under it.
• Orange covers a dark surface less well, so lay it over a light primer coat and build it up from several thin applications.
• For thinning and for cleaning, use the thinner meant for the Real Colors range; the ratio is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
• Try the width of the stripe and the shade on scrap plastic, not straight on the bodywork.

Storage and packaging

Close the bottle carefully and store it away from heat and frost.

The package holds one bottle of paint of 17 ml. Thinner, brushes, masks, an airbrush and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
