Light blue is one of those shades a modeler keeps in stock for the breadth of its use rather than for a single scheme. Light blue tones appear on the undersides of aircraft, where they are meant to blend the machine optically into the sky, and further on machinery and instruments, on interior fittings and on small accessories. It is also a useful shade for mixing: added to gray or white it shifts the tone into a cool register without the result reading as a saturated blue.

The Aqueous Hobby Color line is a water-thinnable acrylic paint for the brush and for the airbrush. Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, the pigment settles at the bottom. Light shades cover worse on dark plastic, so rather apply several thin coats, or lay down a light base; one heavy coat fills fine panel lines and engraving. For spraying, thin the paint with the thinner intended for this line and adjust the ratio to your airbrush and pressure. Clean the tools immediately after work.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, primer, final varnish and an airbrush are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
