Hobby Micro Deburring Tool is a hand tool for removing burrs and mold seams from modeling parts. The word Micro in the name refers to the small form intended for work on small areas.
A burr appears everywhere the mold divides or where a part is cut off the sprue. Sandpaper will remove it, but it also blurs the surrounding shape and scratches the surface dull. A deburring tool, by contrast, scrapes the material away in a thin ribbon, so the edge stays sharp and the gloss of the surface untouched. On curved parts the difference is visible at once.
It suits modelers who build in small scales or work with parts where there is no room for bulkier tools. It complements a cutter, tweezers and sanding aids well on the workbench. If a lot of long seams on large areas lies ahead of you, think of it as a finishing tool and leave the rough work to something else. It pays off most on parts that will stay glossy or translucent, because that is exactly where sandpaper would leave a dull mark.
