The green modeling paint IJA Nakajima Green from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, intended for aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force built by Nakajima.
Responsibility details are not available.
IJA Nakajima Green is the green shade in which the Nakajima factory painted its machines for the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force. The individual Japanese makers mixed their green in their own way, so the same camouflage differed in tone on aircraft from different plants, and the shades are therefore distinguished by the name of the maker. Beside this green there are also tones from other Japanese factories, so the paint can be chosen according to where a particular machine was built.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use; the pigment settles at the bottom and an unstirred shade comes out different from what it should be. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions for this range. With an airbrush apply several thin coats and let each one flash off; with a brush draw the stroke in one direction and do not go back over a coat that is already setting.
The green holds best over a primer that unifies a surface made of different materials. Japanese machines are often modeled chipped down to bare metal, so a metallic shade and masking fluid are often applied under the paint, or the edges are rubbed through once it has dried. Gloss varnish belongs under the decals; on a flat surface a silvery haze forms under the film. Clean the tools right after work with the thinner intended for this range.
The paint is supplied. Thinner, primer, varnishes and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
