Flowering bushes – lilac (Model Scene)

This product is not a model or a kit. It is scenic material from the manufacturer Model Scene, that is, small flowering bushes in the purple shade that a lilac in bloom has. It serves to plant the greenery on dioramas, model railroad layouts, display bases and landscape mock-ups. Within the range of flowering bushes it is a color variant alongside white, yellow and pink, so it can be combined into a varied growth according to the season the scene captures.

Use

• Planting the open areas between static grass, foliage and trees.
• A color accent by fences, field margins, small gardens and stations on a layout.
• Covering the transitions between terrain layers and the edges of a base.
• Completing a spring or summer scene where green alone looks flat.

Installation tips

Plant the bushes only once the terrain is finished and dry, otherwise loose materials and dust will catch in them. Spot gluing with thin PVA glue works well, or a drop of cyanoacrylate glue in the places where the bush has to hold its shape. Do not plant the material at regular intervals: nature makes clumps, so two or three bushes close together and then an open area look more believable than an even grid. Colored blossom stands out best against a darker base, so it is worth putting darker soil or a tuft of taller grass under the bushes. Try the layout dry before the final gluing.
