A set of resin detail parts in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel. It holds hexagonal bolts and nuts of a size of 1.3 mm, that is the coarser variant from the range of fasteners. It is not a kit but an accessory with which a model that is already built, or a part of your own, is fitted out.
A size of 1.3 mm corresponds in 1:35 scale to roughly forty-five millimeters in reality. That is a size typical of heavy structural joints: the attachment of armor plates, the feet of girders, the joints of truck frames, the anchoring of cranes, of bridge elements and of building structures. On fine units a bolt like that would look oversized, so reach for the smaller sizes from the same range there. Where the strength of a joint is meant to be visible, on the other hand, it is exactly this size that makes a model read more clearly, even in a photograph.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, so that the paint holds better. Work with tweezers over a surface with a raised edge. Pick a drop of cyanoacrylate glue up with a toothpick and carry it to the model. Mark the spacing out beforehand with a scribed line or a template of tape, as irregular gaps are obvious at first glance with larger bolts. Once they are glued on, even the surface out with a primer. When weathering, let a dark wash run around the heads; the impression of grease and settled dirt arises and optically sets the joint into the plate.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
