A set of figures in 1:35 scale on the theme of the closing battles for Berlin in 1945. It suits a diorama with rubble as well as a single model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The last battles for Berlin in 1945 took place in a shattered city, where the advance went by the meter among burnt-out buildings and heaps of rubble. For a modeler it is a rewarding setting: a scene needs no great area and a piece of wall, a sidewalk and a pile of rubble are enough for it to read at first glance.
The set is in 1:35 scale, that is, the same size as the usual tank kits and diorama accessories. The figures can therefore be combined without trouble with vehicles, with structural elements and with other figures of the same scale.
Rubble looks convincing when three sizes of material sit side by side in it: coarse lumps of masonry, grit and fine dust. Always settle a figure on such a base so that the feet rest on the surface rather than merely touching it. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap before painting and let them dry, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down. Suggest dust from the diorama on the footwear and on the lower hems of the clothing, otherwise the figure will look as if it were brought in from somewhere else.
Several sets in the range carry practically the same name with different contents, so go by which particular one you are ordering. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
