LAVENDER – QUICK GEN COLOR is a light purple shade from AK interactive for painting fabrics, cloaks and fantasy elements quickly.

A pale purple is used in miniature painting where a fabric is meant to look soft and cool, yet not white. QUICK GEN COLOR offers it in a form that calls for no separate mixing of shadow and highlight: the thin paint sinks into the engraved detail, thins out on the edges and the gradation appears by itself. The bottle holds eighteen milliliters.
Light shades are more translucent than dark ones, which is why a white base coat shows most strongly with them. Over a gray base the lavender turns gray and over a black one it is lost altogether. Spread the paint with a medium-sized brush so that the area is filled in one sequence, and let it dry horizontally, or it will run to one side and settle unevenly.
It will serve when painting armies, where the look of dozens of figures has to stay consistent, and also a collector who uses it to liven up a single display figure. Store at room temperature and close the bottle carefully after work so that the paint does not dry on the neck. A bottle survives a longer break in work better if it is stood base down.
