Lifecolor matte rust 2 FS32169 is the second, more orange rust shade of the palette, intended for fresher corrosion over finished camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second rust shade in the palette exists for one simple reason: rust on a real vehicle does not have one color. Fresh corrosion is more orange and brighter; old rust darkens toward brown and sinks into its surroundings. When a modeler tells the two apart, the wear stops looking like a painted patch and starts looking like a process that went on for years on the vehicle. The name gives the number of the American Federal Standard color standard, FS32169, and the matte degree of sheen.
Layering over a camouflage scheme
For modelers who build worn and long-serving vehicles, and for builders of dioramas with wrecks and laid-up vehicles, where corrosion is the main storyteller.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children and, when spraying, work in a well-ventilated space.
