A modeling material for building your own details. The box contains 14 pieces of round lead wire 1 mm in diameter and 250 mm long. Pieces twice as long as in the short variant of the same diameter are welcome everywhere a line or a cable has to run in one piece and must not be broken by a join, across a whole fuselage, along the bed of a vehicle or along the deck of a ship model.
Lead is very soft: you bend the wire with your fingers, fine-tune it with tweezers and the shape stays exactly where you put it; it does not spring back like steel or brass. It is divided with a sharp scalpel or side cutters and the cut is clean. With long pieces, pre-shape the route off the model first and only then seat it; that saves pressure on parts already glued in place. It is bonded with super glue, and with epoxy on larger contact areas. Before painting, degrease the surface and give it a coat of base color. The 1 mm diameter is the heaviest round size in the range and suits larger scales or prominent features that are meant to be noticeable at first glance.
For modelers who finish a kit beyond the contents of the box, build dioramas and add to vehicles from documentation. Even a less experienced builder can manage the work.
Lead is a soft heavy metal. Wash your hands after working with it, do not put the material in your mouth and keep it out of reach of children.
