Responsibility details are not available.
A hand punch with a die in the shape of a birch leaf. Thin colored material is inserted into it and a squeeze cuts individual miniature leaves from it. It is a tool, not finished vegetation — what you are buying is the ability to make leaves in exactly the shade and quantity a scene needs, again and again.
A birch leaf is small, oval to rhomboid, with a pointed tip and a serrated edge. That small size is what matters to the modeler: the birch is one of the trees whose individual leaf is still recognizable in common modeling scales, so the shape of the die really does show in the result. The crown of a birch is also sparse and open, so the leaves are applied at a lower density than on an oak or a linden and the structure of the tree stays visible. The birch is a common tree of central, eastern and northern Europe and on dioramas it appears above all in forest, roadside ditch and rural scenes.
For builders of dioramas and scenic bases who make trees and bushes from scratch and want to be independent of ready-made foliage. It pays off anywhere you need a large quantity of leaves or a particular shade that is not easy to find in ready-made sets.
This is a modeling aid, not a kit or finished leaves. The material for punching, glue and tree armatures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
